Iran gives stark WARNING to Donald Trump – Twitter THREATS can be ‘easily answered’

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari was responding to the US’s efforts to force the international community to halt oil imports from Iran.

Tehran responded by suggesting it could completely block oil from passing through the Strait of Hormuz and potentially disrupt global markets.

General Jafari said: “If the current capabilities of the Revolutionary Guards reaches the ears of the adventure-seeking President of America, he will never make this kind of mistake and will reach the understanding that an oil threat can be easily answered.”

Tensions between the US and Iran have been extremely high since Trump’s decision to remove the US from the Iran nuclear deal.

The deal is known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States signed the treaty on July 14, 2015, to ensure that Iran’s nuclear programme would be exclusively peaceful.

Donald Trump pulled the US out of the nuclear deal in May saying it was ”horrible”, despite a majority of American voters supporting the international pact.

He said: “It is clear to me that we cannot prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement.

“The Iran deal is defective at its core. If we do nothing we know exactly what will happen.

“This was a horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made.”

As the US is poised to unleash new and harsh sanctions against Iran, Europe, Russia and China have been working to maintain the treaty.

The military commander’s comments come as a war of words between Tehran and Washington has escalated since the weekend.

On Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said: “America should know peace with Iran is the mother of all peace.

“War with Iran is the mother of all wars.”

Trump responded in an all-caps tweet which said: “Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before.”
