There’s another big afternoon of football ahead as Arsenal take on Atletico Madrid.
The Gunners kick off their pre-season International Champions Cup campaign against Atletico Madrid in Singapore today.
Last season’s La Liga runners-up face Arsenal at the Singapore National Stadium and Paris St Germain four days later with Simeone looking to get the best out of the 22 players who travelled to Asia for the three-team event.
“We understand how important it is for them to rest after the World Cup as we know it’s going to be a long season ahead,” the Argentine told reporters on Wednesday when asked how the side would cope without several of their best players.
“This is still pre-season and we are building towards full strength but we aim to do really well against Arsenal.”

The highly-anticipated International Champions Cup game will take place today.
Premier Sports will begin coverage of the game at 12pm before kick off at 12.35pm.
