Arsenal transfer news: Kingsley Coman forces Unai Emery to explore fresh options

Arsenal boss Emery has been tipped to lure Coman away from Bayern Munich this summer, with the player’s long-term future in the Bundesliga uncertain.

The France international, who missed out on a place in Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad, struggled for form and fitness last season.

Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors with Emery already spending big on the likes of Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

And The Daily Mirror claim Coman’s latest comments have forced Emery to act.

The player recently rubbished talk of a move to Arsenal, saying: “I’ve had no contact with Arsenal.

“I’ve just extended my contract here at Bayern and I’m planning to stay for many more years.”

The Mirror say, consequently, Arsenal boss Emery is exploring alternative deals.

The Gunners boss still wants one more signing, with a winger being craved to line up in attack alongside the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

For now, Arsenal have cooled their interest in Coman – but are still examining their options.

However, there is better news on the Ousmane Dembele front.

Reports in Spain have suggested the Barcelona forward is keen to leave the club over the next two weeks.

Dembele, signed as a £134million replacement for Neymar two years ago, struggled at the Nou Camp last season.

And the player is reportedly eager to quit Barcelona in the wake of their decision to sign Malcom from Bordeaux.
