Princess Eugenie wedding: Will it be as big as Meghan & Harry? Royal to marry in same spot

Princess Eugenie of York will marry Jack Brooksbank, 31, on 12 October this year in a royal wedding ceremony.

Their wedding will take place at the same venue where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had theirs: St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.

But will their wedding be as big as that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who invited 600 guests to their 19 May ceremony?

St. George’s Chapel is known to have a capacity to 800 seated guests.

This means that, while it is unknown how many people Jack and Eugenie have invited, there is scope for an even bigger guest list this time around.

Given that Jack is a former manager at Mahiki and that Eugenie was once dubbed “the party princess”, it is likely the sociable pair will have a lot of people to invite. However, as Eugenie is not classed as a “working royal”, she will not be obliged to invite as many royal guests.

Eugenie’s celebrity friends Ellie Goulding, Cressida Bonas, James Blunt and Cara Delevigne will almost certainly make the cut.

In addition, there will also be a number of members of the public at Windsor Castle.

Meghan and Harry invited a further 2,640 members of the public to the castle grounds.

Princess Eugenie and Jack have followed suit, inviting members of the public to their October wedding.

However, they have invited less than half as many people into the grounds, permitting just 1,200 members of the public to come.

The pair will also invite representatives of charities they support to the wedding together with members of the Windsor community.

Also included will be children from the local schools which Princess Eugenie attended.

Finally, Royal Household staff will be present at the wedding celebrations.

Princess Eugenie’s wedding budget was revealed yesterday by Express.co.uk.

It has been reported that the upcoming royal nuptials will cost anything between £380,000 and £760,000.

A sky-high price tag for some, but it’s is nothing compared to that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day, that came in the region of £35 million.

The vast majority of the May Royal Wedding’s cost was spent on security, with thousands of people descending on Windsor to watch Harry and Meghan tie the knot.

However, there will be less public and global interest surrounding the wedding.

Therefore, smaller crowds are expected to turn out to Windsor, decreasing the need for such high security.
