Harry Maguire to Manchester United

Harry Maguire has hinted he may be open to leaving Leicester this summer.

The England defender, who enjoyed a solid World Cup campaign alongside John Stones and Kyle Walker, has been heavily linked with a move to United this summer.

And he’s sent the rumour mill spinning after revealing that he’s an ‘ambitious player’ who wants to play at the highest level.

“Every player wants to play at the highest level,” he told the Sun. “I’ve just come back from playing at a World Cup, where I really enjoyed the high pressure of the games.

“It was something that I really thrived off. Leicester have been unbelievable to me and I’m really happy there but I’m also an ambitious player and everyone wants to play at the top.”

Two more signings…

Jose Mourinho is keen to complete two more signings before the start of the Premier League season.

Manchester United have already completed three deals, with Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant heading to Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Mourinho wants a centre-back and a forward this summer and has told executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to meet his demands.

Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, Leicester star Harry Maguire, Chelsea ace Willian and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale are all under consideration.

Diogo Leite frenzy

Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly face fresh competition in the race to sign Diogo Leite.

Leite has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest prospects since breaking onto the scene with Porto B.

And his performances in the UEFA Youth League last season turned the heads of scouts from a cluster of Premier League big boys.

German magazine Kicker indicate Liverpool have set their sights on Leite as they look to continue their summer spending.

While Arsenal, as well as Manchester City, have shown interest in prising him away from Porto ahead of the oncoming season too.

Buying Leite from Porto will not come at a considerable cost due to the relatively modest £13.4m (€15m) release clause written into his contract.

However, Liverpool, Arsenal and City have now seen another side enter the fray to secure the highly-rated 19-year-old’s signature.

Kicker have followed up claims that Borussia Monchengladbach are keen on Leite and confirmed the Bundesliga outfit’s desire to get him on-board.

Willian decision…

Chelsea are unwilling to sell Willian to Manchester United this summer.

United and Barcelona are chasing the 29-year-old, who struggled to get regular game time under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge last season.

Barca have had two bids rejected for Willian, with Chelsea demanding £70m for the Brazilian.

And according to the London Evening Standard, the Blues are unwilling to let Willian join United this summer.

The Standard add that Willian is keen to join Barca, despite the arrival of Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge this summer.
