Comic Con is known for being the perfect place for fans to see new trailers, meet their favourite cast members, and hang out with other fans.
Aquaman was one of the most anticipated movies at the convention with a panel featuring the cast alongside its trailer premiere.
Who plays Aquaman in the latest DC Comics movie?
Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, is played by Jason Momoa.
Momoa captured the hearts of fans all over the world when he appeared in Game of Thrones as Khal Drogo.

Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo was initially a stoic and unfeeling personality, but with his marriage to Danerys softening him up, fans fell in love with him.
Before he took up the role as the chieftain of the Dothraki in Game of Thrones, Momoa had been long involved in the movie industry.
Designer Takeo Kobayashi discovered Momoa in 1998 and the designer encouraged Momoa to pursue a modelling career.
At 19 Momoa was cast as Jason Ioane in Baywatch Hawaii, an action drama series.

Momoa got a big break as part of Stargate Atlantis, the Candian-American TV series and starred in the sci-fi show from 2005 to 2009 as Ronon Dex.
Then, in 2011, the role of Khal Drogo brought Jason Momoa an entirely new level of fame, with ubiquity which far surpassed his previous roles.
He starred as the Dothraki chief on the show for a year.
Now, however, rumours have flooded the internet, speculating there may be a return for Kahl Drogo in the next season of Game of Thrones.

Behind the camera, Momoa also has experience.
He co-wrote and directed Road to Paloma in 2014.
The American drama thriller starred Sarah Shahi as Eva and Lisa Bonet (Momoa’s wife) as Magdalena.
Currently, Momoa stars Frontier as Declan Harp, a half-Cree, half-Irish trapper.

Frontier, a Netflix original, follows the Harp as he wages a war with the British during the days of the fur trade in 1700s Canada.
Momoa is reutning to the silver screen as Aquaman, a role he first stepped into for DC Comic’s Justice League.
The Justice League movie received praise for its action sequences and performances but mixed critical reviews.

The trailer for Aquaman premiered at Comic Con in San Diego this past weekend to plenty of fan excitement.
The standalone movie hopes to tap into some of the success garnered by Wonder Woman.
With Momoa as the star, shirtless of course, it just might be possible.
