Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions could feature their latest signing at the match against the German side.

Despite being relatively quiet during the current transfer window, Man City splashed £60million on Riyad Mahrez.

The Algerian winger moved from Leicester to the champions earlier this month and is taking part in the team’s pre-season tour.

Commenting on his arrival, Pep Guardiola said: “Riyad Mahrez has come to help us at the front and give us the quality he has.

“We have the same players from last year, except one person – Mr Toure. We are going to try to continue to improve on what we started two seasons ago.

“What happened last season was a consequence of the first season and we will try to do that again.

“We will try to go back to basics and see our intention for the new season – to try to beat everybody like last season. I know what I have to do.”

Although the match between the Premier League champions and the German giants is highly anticipated, Man City is still without their stars that played in the spectacular 2018 World Cup.

So despite new signing Mahrez being included, it is likely a youth orientated team will play.

Manchester City’s players flying to Chicago to play Dortmund are: Claudio Bravo, Joe Hart, Aymeric Laporte, Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy, Tosin Adarabioyo, Riyad Mahrez, Daniel Grimshaw, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Douglas Luiz, Jack Harrison, Lukas Nmecha, Phil Foden, Aro Muric, Eric Garcia, Nabil Touaizi, Brahim Diaz, Iker Pozo, Luke Bolton, Cameron Humphreys, Rabbi Matondo, Tyreke Wilson, Nathanael Ogbeta.
