Chelsea transfer news: Sarri makes £72m Abramovich request as Man City chase deal

The midfielder is being touted as one of the names to leave Turin after the club splashed out £88m to bring in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pjanic has not asked to leave Juventus so far this summer.

But according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea and Manchester City are both interested in landing the Bosnian star before next month’s deadline.

New Blues boss Sarri reportedly included Pjanic in his list of transfer targets which was given to Roman Abramovich after his appointment.

But Pep Guardiola has expressed an interest of his own, speaking to the player over the phone earlier this week.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport also claim Pjanic was spotted meeting with well-known deal fixer Fali Ramadani on Wednesday.

The Italian was responsible for brokering Sarri’s Chelsea move earlier this month, and has been helping the west London outfit in discussions with Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani.

Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Pjanic, who would cost €80m (£72m) this summer.

Chelsea are likely to continue their pursuit of Serie A stars as Sarri looks to build a familiar team for his first season in England.

Higuain and Rugani are likely to be available as Juventus look to balance the books after Ronaldo’s arrival.
