With some major sporting events about to get underway, there’s a cheaper way to view all the action on Sky Sports.
Sky’s Now TV service has just revealed a new deal which slashes the price of these popular channels by 40 percent.
This means you can get three months of sports coverage for just £20 per month – this bundle would usually cost £33.99 per month.
Sky Sports is currently broadcasting The Open exclusively on its channels plus the Premier League begins next month.
The new season will kick off at Old Trafford on Friday, August 10 when Manchester United host Leicester City live on Friday Night Football (7.45pm) with Newcastle v Tottenham (Saturday, August 11, 12.30pm) and Liverpool v West Ham (Sunday, August 12, 1.30pm) also live on the opening weekend.
Customers will also get access to a summer of cricket and every race from the Formula One championship.
The discount deal lasts for three months and once the offer is over customers will then revert to the standard £33.99 fee.
It is worth remembering that one bonus of Now TV is that there’s no contract to sign and you can opt out at any time.
For those who don’t know, NOW TV includes all the same content you’d usually only have access to with a Sky TV subscription, including Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, and exclusive television channels, like Sky Atlantic.
The latest NOW TV hardware is also able to pause and rewind live television – although you won’t be able to record shows like you can on a Sky HD+ box.
The news of this latest deal comes as Virgin Media has also slashed the price of its top-tier package which includes sport and movies.
This new offer gives those signing a 12-month contract the chance to get over 260 channels, super fast VIVID 350 broadband, inclusive calls to mobiles and landlines plus two TIVO V6 boxes for £79 per month – saving £9 off the usual price.
This deal also includes all the Sky Sports, BT Sports and Sky Cinema channels in full HD.
The total saving over the year deal is £108 with Virgin saying the offer is available until July 22.
It’s worth noting that once the offer ends you will then be placed on a standard tariff which will cost £125 per month.
