Fortnite Android: Release date SOON? Fans given hope Epic Games planning imminent launch

release date is this summer and Battle Royale fans could see the Android version of the hit online game launch imminently.

Fortnite Android is arguably one of the most highly anticipated mobile game releases of the year.

Fortnite Mobile was first launched back in March on Android’s big rival iOS, with a release date for Google’s mobile OS pencilled in for later on this year.

Epic Games later revealed that Fortnite Android would have a release date during summer 2018.

However, no definitive date was given to players for the Fortnite Android release date.

And as fans wait for the Fortnite Android launch it may be coming sooner than they think.

Fortnite Tracker has revealed that Android game files have been found in the latest version of Fortnite.

In a video posted on YouTube they revealed that Fortnite Android files were found in the most recent patch.

The file names were labelled Android_Engine, Android_Game and Android_RuntimeOptions.

These files are also labelled with a ‘release 5.0’ tag – which is the current version of Fortnite that players are in right now.

It could possibly mean that a Fortnite Android release is planned for any moment now.

In the clip the Tracker Network said: “Pretty sure we’re up to 5.0.

“So sometime during this season or this major patch or major version of Fortnite Battle Royale we should expect to see an Android release of Fortnite Battle Royale to all Android devices.

“And that’s huge guys because – as big as iOS is – Android is just as big across the entire world. It’s just not as big in North America”.

The news comes after yesterday Express.co.uk revealed that Fortnite has now become available to play on the first Android device.

Fortnite is now available to play on the Android-based Nvidia SHIELD TV device.

However, it’s not because a Fortnite Android app has been released for the Nvidia SHIELD TV.

It’s because the set top box has now received access to the GeForce NOW streaming service, with gamers across the world now able to take advantage of this new feature.

This gives Nvidia SHIELD TV owners access to a range of AAA games that are being streamed from the cloud to the Android device.

Other games that Nvidia SHIELD TV owners now have access to include PUBG, Realm Royale, Black Ops 3, Jurassic World Evolution and Black Ops 3.

As the Fortnite Android release date draws nearer Epic Games have revealed they are investing more in servers.

This may be a sign that they’re getting ready for the huge amount of new players set to join with the launch of Fortnite Android.

Epic have revealed that they are planning to invest in Amazon Web Services (AWS) for Fortnite.

Epic Games have used AWS since the Fortnite launch to run its worldwide game server fleet as well as backend systems and databases.

And now Epic have said they are going “all in” on AWS.
