Avengers 4 PLOT clue hidden in Ant-Man and the Wasp Easter Egg?

WARNING SPOILERS FOR ANT-MAN AND THE WASP AHEAD

Since Thanos’ Snap in Avengers Infinity War, fans have been wondering what clues prequels Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain might have when it comes to reversing the Mad Titan’s genocide in Avengers 4.

So far from set photos it looks like time travel will play a part, seeing as Ant-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Loki have been seen filming scenes set in the Battle of New York.

A popular theory sees the Avengers travel back in time via the Quantum Realm from the Ant-Man movies and collect the Infinity Stones before Thanos does.

He continued: “Nobody knows, and that’s what makes me particularly excited. I look all the time on the internet: people have no idea!”

So what else could be going on? Well we wonder if a clue was hidden in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Near the beginning while Scott is under house arrest, a scene from National Lampoon’s Animal House is playing on the TV. Donald Sutherland’s professor is getting high with his students and starts talking about tiny universes.

He says: “Okay. That means that our whole solar system could be, like one tiny atom in the fingernail of some other giant being. This is too much! That means one tiny atom in my fingernail could be–.” The student finishes: “Could be one little tiny universe.”

While this could just be referring to the Quantum Realm, it could also suggest that other realities, or other universes, where there are alternate Avengers and alternate Infinity Stones could be in one of those tiny atoms.

And the way to access them is via the Hank Pym shrinking technology. By gathering alternate Infinity Stones rather than time travelling, the Avengers could create another Infinity Gauntlet and reverse the Snap?

Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
