WWE Smackdown: The Miz and Daniel Bryan set for EPIC clash at SummerSlam

The Miz trolled Bryan as well as his legendary tag team partner Kane on Smackdown with a funeral signalling the end of their pair-up.

Team Hell No failed to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules against The Bludgeon Brothers after Harper and Rowan attacked the former world champions backstage before the bout.

The Miz made another scathing speech against The YES Man claiming that Bryan’s return from retirement has been a failure.

The A-Lister added that the four-time world champion will never headline WrestleMania again and that his career is over.

The ex-WWE Champion said: “Daniel Bryan’s return from injury has been a bust.

“And each and every week he comes out here is another week he is destroying his legacy and no one has the courage to tell him. Not you [WWE Universe], not Kane, not his wife [Brie Bella].

“But I have the courage to tell him that Daniel Bryan’s days of headlining WrestleMania are over.

“Daniel Bryan’s career, just like Team Hell No, is dead.”

Bryan then came out and attacked The Miz as well as the pall-bearers of the mock funeral until The A-Lister ran away.

The two men go way back since 2010 when Bryan joined WWE and was mentored by The Miz on NXT.

Their rivalry led to a match at Night of Champions the same year that saw The Leader of the YES Movement beating The A-Lister for the US Championship.

Six years later the two former world champions revived their feud with a big argument on Talking Smack and The Miz would go on to mock the ex-WWE Champion by performing his signature kicks during matches.

Bryan has been very keen to lock horns with the ex-Intercontinental Champion ever since he returned to Smackdown.
