WARNING SPOILERS FOR ANT-MAN AND THE WASP AHEAD
The mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp tied directly into Thanos’ Snap in Avengers Infinity War.
While Ant-Man was in the Quantum Realm the Pym family turned to ash leaving him trapped there.
If anything this was a real bummer for Michelle Pfeiffer’s Janet, who had only just been reunited with Hank and Hope after three decades there.
But of course this somehow is setting up the events of Marvel‘s Avengers 4.
In fact during the Ant-Man and the Wasp end credits scene, Janet warns Scott to not fall into a time vortex.
Presumably now he’s trapped in the Quantum Realm he actually does and since the original Wasp was living there for so long maybe he comes across her younger self.
Such a scene would be easy to do since we already saw a younger Janet in the opening scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp.
While she may be trapped, perhaps the younger Janet will help Scott propel forward and escape – all the while knowing she has to be left behind to be rescued by Hank in the future.
It’s certainly possible. How else will Ant-Man manage to get out of the Quantum Realm?
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
