WWE Smackdown PREVIEW after Extreme Rules: Randy Orton returns, Jeff Hardy in action

Shinsuke Nakamura made quick work of Jeff Hardy last Sunday at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and won the US Championship.

Nakamura delivered one of his signature Low Blows to Hardy before the bell rang and knocked him out with a vicious Kinshasa immediately after the match started.

The former champion triggered his rematch clause immediately after his loss and will take on the Japanese star tonight on Smackdown.

Both of them though will have to keep an eye on the returning Randy Orton who came to the ring after the match and delivered another Low Blow to Hardy.

Asuka failed to dethrone Carmella at Extreme Rules after James Ellsworth found a way to interfere once more even though he was locked in a shark cage above the ring.

The Empress of Tomorrow took out her frustrations on Ellsworth after the match with a series of punches and kicks before locking him in the Asuka Lock.

Will the ex-NXT Women’s Champion look for revenge tonight or will a new challenger step up?

Daniel Bryan and Kane didn’t enjoy a triumphant reunion after reforming Team Hell No as they failed to win the Smackdown Tag Team Championships from The Bludgeon Brothers.

Harper and Rowan attacked the two former world champions before the bout and severely injured Kane’s foot.

Will Team Hell No ask for a rematch or has their reunion come to an end?

WWE Champion AJ Styles retained his title against Rusev in a hard-fought match and rumours suggested that he may spark a feud with former TNA rival Samoa Joe.

Aiden English unwillingly caused his associate Rusev the match after exposing the turnbuckle that The Bulgarian Brute’s head ultimately landed on.

How will The Super Athlete react to that howler? Will English have some explaining to do?

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods lost their Tables Match to Sanity’s Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe as well as Killian Dain.

Sanity will look to use that momentum to create chaos on Smackdown but The New Day may not be done with them yet.

Andrade “Cien” Almas beat Sin Cara for the second straight time and hinted during a post-match interview that he has his eyes set on bigger and better things in the blue brand.
