Fortnite Save the World price drop is good news for Season 5 V-Bucks hunters

Epic Games have announced that their original Fortnite game is now cheaper to buy.

The Fortnite Save the World price has been dropped by 50% for a short amount of time.

The game will go back to full price after July 30, so fans have until the end of the month to decide whether to buy the game.

And for those who might be on the fence about purchasing STW, there are a few benefits to having it in your gaming collections.

Epic Games have made it possible to farm V-Bucks in Save the World and use them in Fortnite Battle Royale.

“Any V-Bucks earned/bought in Save the World or Battle Royale can be spent in the other game modes,” a message from the development team reads.

That means you can use them to buy new skins in the item store, or grab the season 5 battle pass.

Players just need to log into Save the World to earn V-Bucks, with it estimated that you can earn over 10,000 V-Bucks if you log in for over 330 days.

So that would make up for the price you have to pay to grab Save the World right now, as it’s currently 50% off.

However, V-Bucks can’t be converted into real money, so you’re always going to be down in that regard.

It’s an interesting idea for hardcore fans but is in no way needed to enjoy Fortnite Battle Royale.

You can also earn V-Bucks in STW by completing daily quests and others that reward players for completion.

It should also be noted that Save the World is supposed to be going free-to-play at some point in 2018.

It is rumoured that Fortnite Save The World could even become free to play during Fortnite season 5.

Midway through Fortnite season 4 one leaker made a number of bold claims about Fortnite season 5.

They claimed that Save The World would be free by the time that Fortnite season 5 ends.

However, other information leaked during this time have been proven wrong, so it’s fair to say that this report may also be incorrect.

Epic Games have a clear development path for both games so it seems likely that we will hear more from them on the subject in the coming months.

Save the World also received an update, details of which can be found below:
