Chelsea transfer news: Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid could be concluded TONIGHT – report

The Belgian cast major doubts over his Stamford Bridge future at the weekend, claiming he was unsure whether he would be at Chelsea next season.

“Wherever I go, Hazard must come along,” Courtois said after Belgium’s 2-0 win over England.

“We will not let each other go. We’ll see.

“Now first vacation. And agree with my entourage in between.”

And according to Spanish outlet Cope, Courtois’ move to Los Blancos could surprisingly reach a conclusion as early as Tuesday evening.

The publication claims the goalkeeper is keen to return to Madrid, where he spent three years on loan with Atletico, to be closer to his three children.

Courtois has stalled on signing a new Chelsea deal in recent months, with his current Blues contract set to expire next summer.

Hazard has also dropped hints over his future in recent days.

“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different,” he told Belgian outlet HLN on Saturday.

“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go.

“You know my preferred destination.”
