Hazard speaks out

Eden Hazard has admitted he may leave Chelsea this summer after Belgium’s third place World Cup finish.

The Blues attacker has been continuously linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent years.

And Hazard’s latest quotes suggest he may be playing in Spain next season.

After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different,” he told Belgian outlet HLN.

“Certainly after this World Cup.

“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go.

“You know my preferred destination.”

Courtois to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are in advanced discussions to sign Thibaut Courtois, according to reports in Belgium.

The Chelsea goalkeeper has been a long-time target for the Spanish giants.

And Courtois has repeatedly refused to rule out a move to Madrid in the future after stalling on a new Blues deal.

The Belgian’s contract expires next summer, and according to reports in his native country, Los Blancos are already in talks over a potential move.

HLN report Madrid and Chelsea are in ‘advanced discussions’ over a deal.

But the publication claims the west London outfit are not prepared to let Courtois leave until they bring in a replacement.

Jorginho bullied into Chelsea move?

Man City are ‘furious’ after Napoli scuppered their deal for midfielder Jorginho, a report has claimed.

The Italian officially signed for Chelsea on Saturday morning, just after Maurizio Sarri was unveiled as the Blues’ new manager.

Jorginho had been expected to join City this summer after Pep Guardiola’s long, drawn out chase of the Napoli star.

But according to the Manchester Evening News, the Serie A club ruined any chance of the 26-year-old moving to the Etihad by bullying their former player.

The publication claims Jorginho had agreed terms with the Premier League champions earlier this summer before Napoli intervened.

After agent Joao Santos had planned a medical for his client, Chelsea launched their £53m bid for the player which changed things.

The transfer offer was for Jorginho but also included £7m compensation for buying Sarri out of his Naples contract.

Napoli then reportedly contacted Santos to say if he did not accept Chelsea’s terms Jorginho would not be played for the remaining two years of his contract.

Loftus-Cheek update

Chelsea academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek must look to leave the Blues this summer, Glenn Hoddle claims.

The midfielder impressed in his appearances at the World Cup after a successful loan spell at Crystal Palace last season.

It is not yet known whether the 22-year-old is in the plans for new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

But Hoddle says Loftus-Cheek has got to move away from Chelsea in order to be a first-team regular.

When asked if Loftus-Cheek should quit Chelsea, Hoddle replied: “Oh without a doubt.

“There’s a classic example of where he has definitely got to play back-to-back games for a couple of seasons. Then we’ll see what he really can do.

“He had a great game [against Belgium], even when we were playing poor. He was our best player.”

Three deals eyed

Chelsea are hoping three new signings can convince Eden Hazard to snub a move to La Liga.

The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a switch to Spain, with Real Madrid and Barcelona chasing the 27-year-old.

And according to the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea hope to sign three players to persuade Hazard to stay in west London.

Following the arrival of Napoli midfielder Jorginho, Chelsea will move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Russia’s World Cup hero Aleksandr Golovin.
