Fortnite season 5: New Battle Pass theme, skins may just have been REVEALED by Epic Games

season 5 is the big news this week for Battle Royale fans, with the new Battle Pass launching in just a few days time.

will see a brand new Battle Pass launched with fresh challenges, rumoured map changes, more skins and a mysterious new theme.

There are plenty of rumours surrounding Fortnite season 5 with the first official teaser revealed yesterday adding more fire to fans’ speculation.

The Fortnite season 5 teaser showed a cat-like mask as well as the cracks that have been appearing in the Battle Royale skyline recently.

Fortnite fans have theorised this could be showing either a Bastet, Kitsune or Kabuki.

If it’s a Bastet mask, this could be hinting at an Ancient Egypt theme, if it’s a Kabuki mask it could be teasing a Samurai theme.

While, if the Fortnite season 5 teaser is showing a Kitsune mask it could be hinting towards a time travel theme.

One of the most prominent fan theories about Fortnite season 5 is that it could see players transported back to bygone eras.

Battle Royale players have been left believing the cracks in the sky could be a sign of a tear in time and space in the Fortnite universe.

One era that Fortnite fans have long theorised season 5 could begin with is the Wild West.

And in official patch notes Epic Games may have let slip that Fortnite season 5 will have a Wild West theme.

The Fortnite makers have revealed a roadmap for updates for Save The World recently on Reddit.

In the post, Epic Games revealed Fortnite update 5.0 will be bringing Wild West heroes to Save The World this week.

It will also bring new Flintlock weapons to Fortnite Save The World.

The Flintlock is a firearm that was introduced in the 17th century and used until the mid-19th century.

These two upcoming additions to Fortnite Save The World could all but confirm that Fortnite season 5 will have a Wild West theme for the Battle Pass.

Or, alternatively, it could just reveal that the Wild West will play some part in Fortnite season 5.

It’s been rumoured that different points of interest in Fortnite season 5 could be focussed on different eras in history.

So, one area could have a Wild West theme, while another could be focussed on Ancient Egypt.

The Playground mode LTM trailer also may have dropped subtle hints about Fortnite season 5.

The original trailer for Fortnite season 5 showed a number of in-game building creations that may hinted towards time travel.

Creations shown included the Sphinx, the pyramids, a Wild West town and a castle.

These multiple eras and worlds that players can visit in Fortnite season 5 may also have been alluded to in a new in-game message.

When Fortnite players log in now they will see in the Battle Royale ‘new updates’ screen that greets them initially a cryptic tease.

At the top of the news feed is a teaser for Fortnite season 5 which shows the first season 5 artwork alongside the message “Worlds Collide”.

Could this be hinting towards the worlds of the Wild West, Ancient Egypt and Fortnite Battle Royale all colliding at the start of Fortnite season 5?

We’ll find out soon enough.
