MHW Deviljho: How to Find the Quest and take on Monster Hunter World beast

Monster Hunter World patch 2.00 includes a lot of weapon rebalancing tweaks, as well as a fearsome new best.

The MHW Deviljho Quest is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, with fans and Capcom confirming how to find the brute.

Deviljho will invade 6★ quests, 7★ quests, and high rank expeditions once you have completed the investigation for the “??? Rathian” in the main story.

After completing certain conditions, you will unlock the Deviljho special assignment.

Players are confirming that they have found Deviljho in the Rotten Vale and Elders Recess.

New Deviljho weapons and the Vangis α and β armor sets are a big part of the update, which also adds the specialized tool: Dragonproof Mantle.

Here’s the breakdown from Reddit on the Quest requirements, which also confirms that this can be handled on multiplayer mode:

HOW TO FIND MHW DEVILJHO QUEST

  • Go on an expedition with ??? monster Icon. Get Track or at least see DevilJho for once.
  • Head back to base and talk to 3 researchers with blue exclamation mark on the right side of the quest board.
  • That should unlock the special investigation quest for you.
  • Finish the special investigation quest head back, talk to the same group of 3 researchers.
  • You then unlock dragonproof mantle and finally Jho’s Optional Quest. Today’s Special: Hunter Flambe.

For those looking to face the beats, Capcom warns that Due to its enhanced metabolism, Deviljho must constantly seek out prey and is extremely violent, and known to flail large monsters around.

“I hope you’ve been gearing up for this hunt with such an insatiable and relentless beast,” Capcom teases in the patch notes.

“No one is safe from the deadly jaws of the Deviljho; not even other monsters.

“This fearsome Brute Wyvern is sure to wreak some serious havoc and bring massive headaches to any unsuspecting hunters… but those who fell this violent beast will be handsomely rewarded.

“Bring Deviljho materials to the Workshop and they’ll be able to craft 2 complete armor sets—Vangis and Vangis as well as a new entry in each of the 14 existing weapon types, including brand new Deviljho designs for Sword and Shield, Hunting Horn, Bow, Insect Glaive and Charge Blade.”

It should be noted that this latest update weighs in on PlayStation 4: Approximately 610 MB and Xbox One: Approximately 600 MB.

Downloading this update will also apply all previous updates for players who are updating the game for the first time.
