Deadpool 2 TRAILER: Watch Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin in EXPLICIT sequel

The Ryan Reynolds-fronted movie is set to arrive on a wave of hype in May.

Josh Brolin joins him as Cable, while Morena Baccarin is back as Vanessa.

The trailer, just under three minutes long, features everything fans loved about the first Deadpool movie: action, gore, and foul language.

The F-bomb is dropped multiple times, with Reynolds on top form as the world’s current funniest superhero.

Moments of sincerity are brilliantly undercut by humour, such as when Deadpool says: “Doing the right thing is messy. But if you want to fight for what’s right, sometimes you have to fight dirty.

“And that is why Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is pure pornography.”

And in a meta touch, that movie stars Reynolds’ real-life wife: Blake Lively.

Alongside him, Brolin and Baccarin in the ensemble cast are Zazie Beetz, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand and Jack Kesy.

Deadpool 2 attracted brief concern over the reaction of its test screenings – but reports that it was facing difficulties have been quickly put to rest.

Now, reports suggest it has been testing very well indeed – and could well keep the box office firing on all cylinders when it’s released a few weeks after Avengers: Infinity War.

As for whether or not it can overshadw Solo: A Star Wars Story as well remains to be seen.

Deadpool 2 is out on May 16 in the UK.
