The Predator movie trailer coming SOON, release date, cast, plot and ‘ALARMING body count’

The original 1987 movie starred a terrifying, unintelligible muscle-bound creature and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It remains one of the most beloved and effective monster action movies of an era, with antagonists who have one simple goal – to hunt and kill their trophies, including us pesky humans.

The sequels have been a tragic succession of ever-decreasing returns, but Dekker is hoping to restore the franchise to its former glory with his hugely-anticipated new installment.

Helmed by Iron Man 3 writer and director Shane Black, this one is getting fans very excited.

So when will we get our first look at the reboot?

The movie was originally expected to open this month but has been pushed back to September. The inevitable reshoots are taking place in Canada at the moment. A March release would also have been overshadowed by Solo: A Star Wars Story, Black Panther and Avengers Infinty War. Industry observers are also suggesting that the studio is aiming to try and repeat the late summer success of IT last year.

Dekker posted messages for the fans and hinted when the first teaser trailer will drop.

He said: “Hello, all. Currently in Vancouver shooting some touch-ups for our little movie. I can’t tell you what’s beyond this fence… except to say the body count is alarming… THE HUNT BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2018. And yes, a teaser trailer will be coming soon…”

The Predator creatures have never held back from a bloodbath and this movie looks no different, except the plot and setting will utterly change everything and here’s why. Forget jungles, temples and sci-fi settings, this movie is bringing the monster much close to home.

PLOT:

Fox executive Stacey Snider said: “We’ve got a Predator film coming out that is unexpected and utterly fresh… From the first page, it didn’t read like a Predator film. It’s set in suburbia. There’s a little boy and his dad at the center of the action.”

CAST:

Narcos and Logan star Boyd Holbrook plays a former marine who discovers the predators exist but no-one believes him. Room child star Jacon Tremblay plays his son, with X-Men actress Olivia Munn as a scientist. This Is Us breakout star Sterling K Brown plays a government agent with Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen as another marine.

RELEASE DATE: The Predator is out on September 14 in the UK and US
