PUBG developer Bluehole has announced plans to hold offline maintenance on PC.
The Battlegrounds studio will take the game offline for 3 hours from 2am UK time on March 22.
During the maintenance, Bluehole will make new changes to the backend systems.
“PC players, we will be running a 3 hour server maintenance period on our live servers to implement additional changes to our backend systems,” Bluehole tweeted.
“The maintenance will start Mar 21 7PM PDT / Mar 22 3AM CET / Mar 22 11AM KST. Thank you for your understanding.”
Bluehole has also opened the test servers to try out some upcoming changes. This includes some brand new content that will be revealed soon.
“PC players, our test server is now open to test the stability of upcoming changes,” reads a follow-up tweet. “There is some new content included that we will be sharing more information about soon.”

The Xbox One update makes various gameplay tweaks and bug fixes.
In addition to graphical optimisations, fans can expect a redesigned user-interface, as well as an improved selection of weapon slots and attachments.
One of the more useful additions is the release of a new counter that shows how many players are left in the airplane.
From March 22, Xbox One players will be able to pick up the Varsity jacket for free.
Once live, the brand new cosmetic item can be found in the customisation tab of the inventory.

- Implemented texture changes to improve graphical performance

- The layout of the inventory has been improved, adding focal points to identify selected areas, a clearer button guide and tooltips
- Improved selection of weapon slots and attachments – players can change the focus and selection by using the D-Pad
- Quick scrolling has been added by using LT/RT buttons

- A counter has been added to show the number of players remaining on the airplane
Cosmetic Items
- Reminder to the community that the Varsity Jacket (also known as the PUBG5 jacket) announced last week will be rewarded to players after March 22nd 12:01AM. Look for it in your in-game inventory from March 22nd, inside the customization tab of the menu.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue that caused players to hear footsteps when no other players were in the vicinity
- Fixed an issue that prevented the blue zone from being displayed correctly
