Pokemon Go Easter Eggstravaganza event RETURNS: Grab rare Pocket Monsters from 2KM eggs

developer Niantic is bringing back the Easter Eggstravaganza for 2018.

The Pokemon Go Easter event  encourages players to hatch eggs.

Starting from 8pm UK time on March 22, the Easter Eggstravaganza gives players a chance to hatch rare Pokemon from 2KM eggs.

PokeStops will dish out a steady stream of 2KM eggs, which can be used to hatch the likes of Wynaut, Ralts, Pichu and Togepi.

That’s on top of bonus Stardust, additional Candy and new items from the in-game shop.

“Your eggs-traordinary efforts will bring rewards!” a Niantic post reads.

“Every Egg hatched during the event will also include bonus Candy to help you power up your newly hatched Pokemon. Additionally, double Stardust is available throughout the event.

“The in-game shop also has special boxes to help you get the most out of hatching your Eggs, which include Super Incubators and Star Pieces. So lace up your shoes and prepare for this egg-citing event!”

The news comes as Pokemon Go gets a brand new update on iOS and Android.

Pokemon Go has been updated to version 0.95.3 for Android and 1.65.3 for iOS.

The patch notes are currently thin on the ground, confirming only that the app has added Facebook login support.

Needless to say, the update introduces various bug fixes and updates performance.

  • Facebook credentials can now be used to log into the app via the ‘Account’ section in Settings.
  • Various bug fixes and performance updates.

Niantic previewed the new update in a recent blog post: “Good news, Trainers! We’ll soon begin rolling out support for account linking with Facebook.

“Along with a simpler sign-in process, linking Pokemon Go to your Facebook account gives you more options to log in and helps preserve your progress across devices.”

“With this change, you will also be able to link your Trainer profile to your Facebook and Google accounts, and use any of those credentials to access Pokemon Go.”

This means you can link your Trainer Club account to your Google and Facebook accounts, and sign in using whichever one you choose.
