Joshua vs Parker: David Haye makes Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker prediction

The Hayemaker has been spotted in Parker’s camp ahead of the WBO champion’s heavyweight title fight with Joshua next Saturday.

Haye allowed the Kiwi to use his Vauxhall gym before faced Hughie Fury and now it appears Parker is using his facilities again.

The 37-year-old has seen Parker up close and believes he could spring a surprise at the Principality Stadium.

He told the 5 Live Boxing podcast: “Without a doubt he is a much different animal. Wladimir Klitschko is a very defensive fighter.

“When Klitschko gets you hurt he doesn’t jump on you, it’s different when you’ve got a young hungry fighter in front of you.

“Klitschko has made the mistakes where he’s gassed out before and has been beaten.

“Parker doesn’t know how to lose. He hasn’t lost as a professional.

“If he manages to wobble Joshua, he won’t stand off like Klitschko did. He’s going to pile on the pressure and empty the tank.

“That’s the difference in this fight. As soon as one of the fighters show any weakness, the other fighter is going to jump all over them.”

Despite Joshua being the big favourite, Joshua’s trainer Rob McCracken is taking nothing for granted.

He said: “If you underestimate boxers like Joseph Parker, you could come unstuck.

“But there’s none of that going on here – Anthony will take it deadly serious and get the win against Parker and then in the future, potentially box Wilder.”
