Fortnite update – New skins confirmed by Epic Games, but you may NOT be able to get it

Fortnite fans will be getting some new skins and outfits, but not all players will be able to download the new gear.

Fortnite players recently have seen exclusive skins and outfits rolled out by Epic Games, with loot just for Twitch Prime members launched last month.

And now it looks like more exclusive Fortnite gear will be launched – but only for a certain section of fans.

Twitch’s hugely popular Fortnite streamer Ninja revealed new skins are coming to those who bought Save The World in a recent broadcast, Fortnite Intel reported.

Fortnite Intel said: “Exclusive skins for founders confirmed to be upcoming during @Ninja stream, though no date has been confirmed yet”.

Fortnite first launched as a paid for game in early access, with Save The World first being released last July as a paid-for game.

A few months later Epic rolled out the free-to-download Fortnite Battle Royale mode, and more recently Fortnite Mobile.

But it’s fans who forked out for the paid-for Save The World mode that are set to get the new and exclusive Fortnite skins.

On Reddit as well Redditor JustMooney1, a Fortnite community co-ordinator, also teased in a post that fans who paid for Fortnite will get a reward soon.

JustMooney1 responded to a fan that posted: “Epic, please reassure the people who paid over $150 for STW and tell us you didn’t forget about this.”

The Fortnite community co-ordinator replied: “We have some stuff coming”.

Speaking previously to Express.co.uk, Eric Williamson, Fortnite’s Lead Systems Designer, said fans who paid for Fortnite Save The World would get rewarded.

He said: “Epic tried to be really generous with the content in Early Access packs, and there have been events and items that exclusive to this Early Access period already!

“We appreciate everyone who’s played and supported the game so far, and our philosophy is to do everything we can to show that to our players.”

Datamining from the recent Fortnite patch V3.2.0 revealed two outfits, with matching back bling, that were labelled with a ‘Founder’ tag in the game files.

Fortnite Intel speculated that these outfits, which are for Battle Royale and Save The World, are likely intended for those who bought the PvE version.

These new items will fall under the ‘Legendary’ rarity status. These items are as follows:

• Rose Team Leader & Warpaint outfits

• Skirmish & Pursuit back bling
