Sea of Thieves release date time CONFIRMED as new Xbox One “patch” is revealed

Sea of Thieves will be the first of a new wave of Xbox One exclusive to launch in 2018.

Unlike in the past, the new titles from Rare will be available as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass from day one.

The Xbox One Sea of Thieves release date is March 20, however, what region you are in does play a role in when you will get to start playing.

The official Sea of Thieves release times have also been confirmed by Microsoft, and it’s good news for those in the UK.

The new Pirate adventure game will be available at midnight on March 20, meaning that will be when servers will go live in the region.

A lot of other regions are actually getting access a little earlier, below you can find a list for other European territories:

  • Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey: 3/19/2018 21:00
  • Finland, Greece, Israel, South Africa: 3/19/2018 22:00
  • Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France: 3/19/2018 23:00
  • Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway: 3/19/2018 23:00
  • Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland: 3/19/2018 23:00

And it’s even better news for Xbox One gamers in the United States, with Sea of Thieves being released at 9pm, PDT.

Players in New Zealand and Australia, meanwhile, should already have access to the game’s servers.

Microsoft have also announced that Sea of Thieves will have a day one patch available to download.

However, for those players thinking they were going to have to update their game, Microsoft literally mean they’re giving away a free eyepatch on day one of the game’s release.

Visit any clothing store in Sea Of Thieves before March 29th to pick up the “Day 1 Eye-Patch” for just 1 gold.

Sea of Thieves is available to play on PC, Xbox One and is also enhanced from day one on Xbox One X.

The game can currently be pre-loaded for the official release date on Xbox One and PC, meaning you can jump in straight away,

Microsoft have also confirmed that Sea of Thieves will also include cross-play between both Xbox and PC, meaning everyone will be able to play together on the same servers.
