Ant and Dec through the years: TV presenting duo’s best moments in pictures

Ant McPartlin, 42, and Declan Donnelly, 42, are best known as presenting duo Ant and Dec.

The pair first met on the set of children’s show Byker Grove in 1989, before going on to become music act PJ & Duncan.

They even used this moniker for their first presenting job on CITV’s Gimme 5.

But they quickly went back to their real names, heading up self-titled The Ant & Dec show on CBBC, and winning two BAFTA Awards for the show.

Ant & Dec are now primetime regulars, winning countless awards and drawing in huge audiences with shows such as Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

In 2016, they were awarded an OBE for services to broadcasting and entertainment by the Queen.

The past year has been a difficult one for Ant, who entered rehab last year after struggling with an addiction to painkillers following a knee operation in 2015.

This weekend, he was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a three-car smash in West London.
