Israel terror: Car rams into soldiers near West Bank in ‘100 days of rage’

Local media has said the perpetrator, who drove into five men near the entrance to the Mevo Dotan settlement, has been caught alive.

The remaining three victims are believed to have been seriously injured.

More to follow.

The attack comes as clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli soldiers reportedly erupted this afternoon as the Palestinan’s mark ‘100 days of rage’ following US President Donald Trump’s decision in December to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Two IDF soldiers have been injured due to protestors throwing rocks at them, one soldier hurt near Tul Karem and another injured close to the Yitzhar settlement near Nablus.

Three Palestinian protestors have also reportedly been injured.

The violence has stemmed from 100 Palestinian protestors along the security fence near the Gaza strip who have also placed flags in the Erez checkpoint north of the strip.

Mr Trump announced the decision to move the US embassy late last year in a move that would recognise Jerusalem as the capital.

Palestinian leaders had called for “three days of rage” in protest with the US State Department also issuing a travel warning about the West Bank and Jerusalem’s Old City.

Most countries – including Russia, China and Australia – have their embassies in Tel Aviv. The UK has embassy offices in Tel Aviv and East Jerusalem.
