Fortnite Mobile WARNING – Looking for a code? Make sure you DON’T get caught out by this

was only announced a week ago by Epic Games, but the iOS and Android versions of the hit online game have already generated huge buzz.

Epic Games have promised that Fortnite Mobile will offer the “same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates” as the console versions.

Apple iPhones and iPads will be the first mobile devices to receive Fortnite Mobile, with sign-up starting on Monday.

However, as fans rush to get a Fortnite Mobile code, Epic Games have sent out a warning.

The official Fortnite Twitter account tweeted in the past few days to say they have NOT sent out any Fortnite Mobile invites yet.

And Epic Games put Fortnite fans on alert about false mobile download links that are being circulated.

They tweeted: “We have not sent out any mobile invites yet.

“Please be aware of false mobile download links. Our official URLs are http://Fortnite.com and http://Epicgames.com.”

The news comes as Fortnite players were put on alert about cybercriminals who are trying to hijack accounts.

Fortnite fans in recent weeks have been reporting on social media websites that their accounts have been taken over.

Many players have said they have been hit with high charges for games while others have had to pay for items they never bought.

Epic Games said they’re aware of the Fortnite player attacks and are looking into it.

Speaking to Kotaku, an Epic Games spokesperson said: “We are aware of instances where users’ accounts have been compromised using well-known hacking techniques and are working to resolve these issues directly with those players affected.

“Any players who believe their account has been compromised should reach out to our player support immediately.”

For Fortnite fans worried about security, Epic Games recently enabled the option to enforce two-factor authentication on player accounts.

The developer also has a security checklist for Fortnite fans worried that their accounts could be vulnerable.

In it, Epic Games says: “At Epic, we’ve been working hard to try to hunt down password dumps in order to proactively reset passwords for player accounts when we believe they are leaked online.

“While this approach involves a lot of manual work on our side, we believe that it prevents a significant amount of fraud.

“However, this approach doesn’t find every impacted account, or you might have created your Epic account after we checked a particular password dump.

“As a result, we’re working to further automate our process to check our account database against password dumps to close the gap on identifying impacted users and resetting their passwords.

“We’ve also enabled multi-factor authentication, which provides players with additional security options.

“The process to enable multi-factor authentication is described in greater detail further down in this article.”

In the security advice, Epic Games advises Fortnite fans not to fall for any fake V-Bucks offers and to not use the same password across multiple sites.
