Xbox One, PS4 and maybe even Nintendo Switch games fans getting big news TOMORROW

Recent games rumours look set to be proved true this week, if this latest teaser is anything to go by.

Geralt of Rivia could be the next character announced for the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One launch of Soul Calibur 6.

The classic fighting franchise is slowly seeing new characters confirmed for it, the latest being Ivy and Zasalamel.

The new Bandai Namco project already has the likes of Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Nightmare, Xianghua and Kilik confirmed for the roster, with more on the way.

And like in the past, it appears the new Soul Calibur will include guest fighters from other games and platforms.

Online sources have already named Geralt from The Witcher series as one of those new characters, and it now appears we will see a big announcement.

Today saw the official Witcher account post news on a reveal coming tomorrow.

Fans are obviously hoping that this has something to do with The Witcher 3, however, it seems more likely to be something for Soul Calibur 6.

“Kaer Morhen’s old stones have witnessed many battles… Once more they’ll feel the sting of sparks as blades collide… Check back tomorrow,” the CD Projekt Red message reads.

The tweet doesn’t really give much away, but it seems more likely that an announcement will be made in connection with SC6, rather than something from a new Witcher project.

The Polish studio’s next big game is Cyberpunk 2077, which looks to be another massive game coming to this generation of consoles.

While this will be great news for gamers on PS4 and Xbox One, there’s also a chance Geralt will be seen for the first time on Nintendo Switch.

That’s because recent rumours have also suggested that a Soul Calibur 6 port for the hybrid console is being planned.

When it comes to the Switch rumours, Bandai Namco went on record last year to say that a version for the hybrid console was not in the works.

Producer Motohiro Okubo confirmed that Soul Calibur 6 wasn’t an active project for the Nintendo Switch.

He also vitally revealed that fact could change in the future, with a lot down to the Unreal Engine compatibility.

Motohiro Okubo told Metro: “SoulCalibur VI development started more than three years ago. And nobody knew anything about Switch back then.

“So, as a matter of fact we are not working on Switch, as of now. But of course, personally, I’m interested in the platform.

“So if the Unreal Engine can adapt to Switch, and evolve itself, then maybe the possibility will be more.”
