Xbox One news: HUGE new feature coming soon, as Microsoft posts massive E3 update

Xbox One is about to introduce a major new feature.

The long-awaited Avatar update looks set for an imminent release, after Xbox executive Mike Ybarra was spotted using the feature online.

YouTuber Rand al Thor posted an image of Ybarra’s new and improved Avatar on Twitter.

“I noticed @XboxQwik is rocking the new Avatar design. Coming soon perhaps?” Rand al Thor 19 tweeted.

Verge senior editor Tom Warren also posted an image of the new design on Twitter.

This was followed by a new report in The Verge, which claims that the new Avatars will be available to Xbox Insiders this month, followed by a full release in April.

The new Avatars are much more customisable than the current models, featuring more body types, props and costumes.

The new Avatars should launch before E3 in June, which Microsoft claims will be its biggest ever.

The Xbox platform holder will hold its events at the Microsoft Theatre in LA Live.

“The Microsoft Theater will be home to official E3 events like the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing on June 10, 2018 at 1PM PT, various Xbox FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay and demos for all E3 attendees and more.

“Not only does the Microsoft Theater allow us to centralise our Xbox presence at E3, but it’s size enables us to include even more fans and partners in the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing than ever before.”

And despite taking over the Microsoft Theatre, the company said it will still have a booth at the Los Angeles Convention Centre.

The new booth will be dedicated to Mixer, where fans will be able to play new games and catch up with the news from E3.

“These changes – expanding our presence, multiple venues, taking over the Microsoft Theater – give us the opportunity to bring together a variety of Xbox experiences into one primary location and, most importantly, let fans in on what we’re up to in 2018 and beyond in a fresh new way.

Microsoft finished by saying that it will reveal more E3 news in April.
