Fortnite DOWN: Server status latest as players hit by login and matchmaking issues

UPDATE ONE: The matchmaking and login issues affecting Fortnite today have been resolved.

The official Fortnite Twitter account posted to say the server issues that fans were facing have now been fixed.

They tweeted: “Login and matchmaking issues have been resolved. Now, back to the fun!”

ORIGINAL:  is down at the moment with players of the hit Epic Games title affected by login and matchmaking issues.

The official Fortnite Twitter account has tweeted to acknowledge that the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac game is experiencing difficulties at the moment.

While independent website Down Detector has registered hundreds of reports.

The official Fortnite Twitter account posted: “We’re aware that some players are currently experiencing matchmaking and login issues. We’re looking into this and will update you once we have more information.”

The Fortnite server issues come the day that Epic Games were meant to roll out patch V3.3.

However, the Fortnite update release was delayed due to an “issue”.

Down Detector has registered hundreds of Fortnite down reports, with players hit by login and server connection problems.

Fortnite fans have taken to Twitter to report online issues with the game today.

One player tweeted: “What a great time for Fortnite to go down”.

While another wrote: “Fortnite down. Nothing to do.”

One added: “Fortnite down again what will I do with my night”.

And one posted: “Fortnite servers down for anyone else”.

The latest Fortnite server issues come as fans are waiting for Fortnite patch V3.3 to be released on PS4, Xbox One, PCs and Mac.

The big Fortnite update was meant to launch today but got delayed due to an “issue”.

Announcing the patch delay earlier today, the official Fortnite Twitter account posted: “We discovered an issue that will prevent us from releasing v3.3 tomorrow, March 14.

“We’re working on solving that problem now and will update you once we know more.”

It hasn’t been confirmed when the Fortnite patch will be released, but Epic Games tend to roll out big updates on Thursdays.

So, if the “issue” gets resolved soon, then Fortnite patch V3.3 could possibly launch tomorrow.

Fortnite patch V3.3 brings with it the remote explosive, the supply llamas and also puts the smoke grenade in the game vault.

Fortnite patch V.3.3 will also see the Teams of 20 limited time mode (LTM) end for Battle Royale fans.
