PUBG update gets the boot, as Battlegrounds suffers MAJOR setback

PUBG developer Bluehole has suffered a major setback in its battle to eliminate cheats.

A recent Battlegrounds update introduced a selection of anti-cheat measures for the popular Battle Royale game.

Unfortunately, however, the update had a few unwanted side effects.

Compatibility issues caused the game to crash, and left other players unable to connect.

This has resulted in a series of negative reviews on Steam, as players vented their frustrations.

To combat the issues, Bluehole has decided to roll back the update.

“Despite its effectiveness in blocking cheats, we have decided to roll back our latest live server update,” Bluehole tweeted.

“We will continue to resolve some compatibility issues caused by it. There will be a small patch to download. We apologise for the inconvenience.”

And speaking of PUBG updates, the game has just been given a new patch on Xbox One.

The new Battlegrounds update doesn’t make any significant changes, but does fix a number of bugs.

As part of the patch, Bluehole has addressed issues with the parachute cable, not to mention a few button problems.

There’s still no sign of the Miramar map on Xbox One, with Bluehole confirming it will release in early spring.
