Overwatch Brigitte release date – When will Blizzard launch new hero

fans might have to wait a little bit longer for the Brigitte release date to roll around.

Based on previous Overwatch character releases, fans should expect the new hero to launch three weeks after entering the PTR.

Doomfist, for example, made his PTR debut on July 6, followed by a full release on July 27.

If Blizzard follows a similar pattern, Brigitte should make her PS4, Xbox One and PC debut next week.

Overwatch updates typically go live on Tuesdays or Thursdays, so expect a March 20 launch at the earliest.

Of course, Blizzard could surprise us all and launch Brigitte early, so stay tuned to Express Online for more information.

In the meantime, Overwatch fans can check out Brigitte’s skins in the gallery below…

Brigitte is a low-level support hero who comes with a huge hammer and shield.

Brigitte can throw repair packs to teammates and even heal allies while damaging enemies.

“Brigitte specialises in armour,” reads a Blizzard post. “She can throw Repair Packs to heal teammates, or automatically heal nearby allies when she damages foes with her Flail.

“Her Flail is capable of a wide swing to strike multiple targets, or a Whip Shot that stuns an enemy at range.

“When entering the fray, Barrier Shield provides personal defence while she attacks enemies with Shield Bash.”

Brigitte’s Abilities in full…

ROCKET FLAIL – Brigitte’s melee weapon has an extended range, enabling her to strike multiple enemies with a single swing.

REPAIR PACK – Brigitte throws a Repair Pack that can heal an ally. Any healing over that ally’s maximum health provides them with armor instead.

WHIP SHOT – Brigitte throws her flail a long distance, dealing damage and knocking an enemy away from her.

BARRIER SHIELD – Brigitte deploys a frontal energy barrier to absorb a limited amount of damage.

SHIELD BASH – Once her Barrier Shield is deployed, Brigitte can dash forward to stun an enemy.

RALLY – Brigitte moves faster and provides all nearby allies with armor that lasts until it’s removed by damage.
