If you cannot wait for the Samsung Galaxy S9 to launch on March 16th, here’s something that might help you get by.
Forum users on XDA Developers have trawled through the Galaxy S9 operating system to unearth a series of exclusive features from the smartphone.
The default wallpapers that ship with the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were shared online earlier this year.
And now, XDA Developers users have published the exclusive ringtone and notification sounds from the Galaxy S9 range.
The new tones have been made available for anyone to download.
Users can install the ringtones and notification sounds on their handset – so that it sounds exactly like the new flagship handset.
Download the ZIP archive of ringtones and notification sounds from XDA Developers and uncompress the folder.
On a computer, this is handled by double-clicking on the file. However, if you’re trying this on an Android smartphone – you’ll need to download a file manager from the Play Store.
When the files have been uncompressed, you’ll need to move them to the notifications and ringtones folders on your phone.
With the Google Pixel, for example, there are separate folders for notifications and ringtone sounds.
However, other popular Android handsets combine the two into one system folder.
Once everything is saved in the correct folder, head to the Sound section of your phone’s Settings.
As long as the audio files were uncompressed and transferred correctly, the Galaxy S9 tones should now appear as options when you choose a new ringtone or default notification sound.
