Roger Federer next match: When is Swiss Star playing at Indian Wells? Who is he playing?

Roger Federer goes into the tournament off the back of his Rotterdam Open win last month in which he returned to the top of the world rankings.

Having already put one Grand Slam win under his belt this season, the 36-year-old will be keen to keep his momentum going.

The Swiss veteran is yet to decide if he will participate in the clay court tournaments and his performances at Indian Wells will likely be an indicator to his plans over the coming months.

Federer is No.1 seed for the Indian Wells Open and received a bye in the first round.

When is Roger Federer’s next match?

Federer returns to the court on Saturday, March 10.

His second round match is due to get underway around 6pm UK time.

That’s 10am in the USA (Pacific time).

Who is Roger Federer playing?

Federer goes up against Argentine player Federico Delbonis in his first match of the campaign.

Delbonis is ranked No.67 in the world and beat home favourite Ryan Harrison 6-2 4-6 7-5 in round one.

Despite his lower ranking, Delbonis will have the psychological edge over Federer having beaten him in their only meeting to date.

Delbonis beat Federer on clay in Hamburg in 2013.
