Spice Girls reunion scrapped AGAIN? ‘It’s not something Victoria Beckham wants to do’

The girlband got back together last month for a meeting, sparking speculation on what exactly they had up their sleeve.

Whilst tour and music plans have consistently been played down, last week Mel B appeared to say on US TV that the group had all been invited to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding – where they could be performing.

Melanie C, however, has said this is not the case – putting it once again down to Victoria Beckham.

“Victoria has been quite vocal, it’s really not something she wants to do at this time,” she told The Sun.

Asked if there would be a tour for the remaining four members, she said: “I think it has to be all five, so it’s tricky.

“It’s very early stages, we’re not talking about new music or going out on the road together at this time.

“It was just getting together to reignite all the things that we have had together and to work with Simon [Fuller].

“Unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be seeing the Spice Girls on stage this year.”

And on Mel B’s remarks, she clarified: “I think Mel was just kind of having a bit of a joke.

“I’ve met Prince Charles lots of times. I’m going to ask him where my invite is because I haven’t got mine yet, obviously Mel B said she has hers.”

The Spice Girls shot to fame in 1996, with Geri Halliwell leaving in 1998. They went on hiatus at the turn of the millennium, and returned for a world tour in 2007.

They came back together again in 2012 to perform at the London Olympics.
