Veronica on Netflix: Horror movie so terrifying audiences have to SWITCH OFF

The new Spanish movie has been making waves over the weekend, after landing online at the end of February.

Viewers have described it as “so f**king scary”, setting it up already as one of the most horrifying of the year.

One shaken person wrote: “Started watching Veronica on Netflix (huge REC fan so interested in anything Paco Plaza is involved in) but the demon walking down the hallway scene freaked me out so much I had to turn it off… #SuchAWuss.”

“Verónica on Netflix is very unsettling, I had to turn it off last night and continue it this morning just so I could watch in daylight,” said another.

Someone else tweeted: “Everyone should watch that new movie Veronica on Netflix.

“I’m freaking out, I don’t do scary movies well and F**K this is a good one.”

Not everybody agrees, though: and actually, attention on how scary Veronica is has only amplified how unscary others have found it.

“ok unpopular opinion but that movie verónica on @netflix isn’t scary at all??” one person insisted.

“i watched the movie veronica on netflix, and while i didnt have to turn the movie off from fright like ive seen some people had to do, it is definitely scary and i can see why some people needed to,” said someone else.

Another user wrote: “Huh… Can’t see why everyone is freaking out about #Veronica on Netflix. It’s NOT that scary.”

Veronica was released in Spain last year, and is about a teenager who tries to contact her dead boyfriend with a Ouija board, but mistakenly reaches her late father instead.

Another upcoming movie that has been touted as “the scariest of the year” is Hereditary, starring Toni Collette.
