Rainbow Six Siege update LIVE as Ash Elite Skin is removed from Chimera release

Today saw the new Operation Chimera begin, bringing with it the new co-op Outbreak mode.

New operators – Finka and Lion – are also available, while the new infestation event is set to run until early April.

But while most things have apparently deployed successfully, it appears the Rainbow Six Siege update has run into a few problems.

Ubisoft have now confirmed that they have removed the Elite Ash Operator skin from PS4, Xbox One and PC.

This is supposed to be a free addition to players who qualify, although there have been reports of it not turning up.

“The Ash Sidewinder Elite is being removed from the shop while we actively work on the fix to get it to all players that qualified to receive it for free,” Ubisoft explains.

“Ash’s Black Viper Elite, from the Outbreak Collection, is still available through Outbreak Packs.”

The new Ash Elite skin should be available to all those who played the game before March 6, meaning a lot of qualifying players

“We would like to thank you for supporting our game. To show our gratitude, we offer you the Ash Sidewinder Elite set,” the R6 patch notes read.

“The Ash Elite Set will be available at the launch of Operation Chimera in Ash’s Uniform section.”

This unique set includes the Sierra Serpent weapon skin for the R4-C, G36C, M45 MEUSOC, and 5.7 USG. With the Sidewinder uniform, Elite Ash Chibi, and her Ain’t Got Time for You victory animation.

Several other problems have also been flagged, including the Damascus Steel skin not showing in the inventory.

Ubisoft have made a list of known problems on Reddit, with things like Starter Edition not being able to buy old Operators, current being looked at.
