Pokemon Go DOWN – Niantic app not working for HUNDREDS of users

 DOWN – UPDATE ONE:  The issues affecting Pokemon Trainer Club login for Pokemon Go should now be resolved now.

The official Niantic Support Twitter account posted: “Pokémon Trainer Club login issues have been resolved.

“Thank you for your patience, Trainers!”

POKEMON GO DOWN – UPDATE ONE: The Niantic Support Twitter page have said they’re investigating reports that Pokemon Go players have been hit by server issues.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered hundreds of reports of Pokemon Go down today, with fans reporting issues logging in via the Pokemon Trainer Club (PTC).

Pokemon Go players started reporting PTC login issues just after midday in the UK.

And Niantic have said they’re investigating the reported server issues. They tweeted: “We’re currently investigating reports that Trainers using Pokémon Trainer Club are encountering login issues.”

ORIGINAL: Pokemon Go is down right now with the popular Niantic app not working for hundreds of users today who have reported PTC login and server issues.

Independent website Down Detector has received hundreds of reports that Pokemon Go is down today.

The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.

The Down Detector outage map also showed the Pokemon Go issues has been affecting users in UK, US, Europe and Japan.

Pokemon Go users have taken to social networking sites today to report the the server issues.

One user tweeted: “#PokemonGO #PTC is down right now.”

While another posted: “#PokemonGo is down right now. Stuff was spawning while I was driving this morning, even on the highway, so I have a feeling they took it down to fix that”.

And one wrote: “Hey @PokemonGoApp the login is down.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Niantic about the Pokemon Go server issues players have been reporting.

In other Pokemon Go news, it was today revealed that Raid bosses are getting a big Windy bonus.

Niantic have been busy conducting a Legendary clash between Raids bosses this week, with the winner effecting how the game’s next event bonuses would run.

And Having seen Rayquaza proven victorious and Groudon and Kyogre removed from Gyms, there are now new rewards to enjoy.

A new Pokemon Go event has now kicked off which will be offering special bonuses.

These will include Pokemon hatching from eggs that prefer Windy weather – Pocket Monsters like Abra, Slowpoke and Bagdon.

Raid Battles will also be affected in the same way, while Double XP rewards are also available to those who play until March 16.

The new event bonuses are available from today and will fill the void before the next Community Day.

“The ancient Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza has proven victorious!” a message from Niantic explains.

“So from March 5 to March 16, Pokémon that prefer windy weather will hatch more often from Eggs.

“But that’s not the only place you’ll see weather-enhanced Pokémon.

“Raid Battles at Gyms near you will also favor appearances by Pokémon that prefer windy weather.

“Plus, enjoy double XP until March 16—a special thanks for all of your enthusiasm and hard work!

“In need of Premium Raid Passes? Don’t forget that special boxes containing them will be available in the shop until March 11.”
