Real Madrid may have endured a rough La Liga campaign so far, but their Champions League pedigree should never be in doubt.

They swept PSG aside in the first leg of their Last-16 tie with Cristiano Ronaldo inspiring Los Blancos despite their troubles.

The Portuguese superstar joins Neymar at the top of a new study by BetStars looking into the best attacking players in the Champions League this season.

The research was conducted with an algorithm that observed a player’s individual displays as well as their team’s performances, fixtures and opponents.

Mohamed Salah has just scraped into the top 10, but three other Liverpool stars have made the list including James Milner.

Most shockingly, Lionel Messi has been omitted from the list after failing to truly set the European scene alight due to being rested at times in the group stages.
