Barcelona news: Ousmane Dembele FED UP and considering Arsenal transfer

Dembele has found it tough at the Nou Camp since sealing a £135.5million move from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

He suffered a hamstring injury soon after joining and has managed just two starts since returning to fitness in January.

According to Spanish publication Don Balon, Dembele is concerned by ’s interest in Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.

It is claimed the France international is refusing to rule out a potential move to Arsenal because he wants more minutes on the pitch.

And he is reportedly concerned about how he has integrated with his team-mates in the dressing room.

Barcelona head coach Ernesto Valverde left Dembele on the bench for Sunday’s 1-0 La Liga win against Atletico Madrid.

According to Don Balon, Dembele did not believe he would be so far down the pecking order at this stage of the season.

Despite his inauspicious start, the 20-year-old is desperate to turn things around.

In a recent interview with Onze Mondial, he said: “I was injured but I was able to keep myself calm and serene.

“I thought that it was better that it happened at the start of the season than at the end, when the most important games come.

“The first games have helped me to adapt. I’ve hired an osteopath and a cook. Diet is essential for a player and I have to look after myself.”

Meanwhile, La Liga expert .

“You have a responsibility as a manger for so many aspects of the club,” Gibson said.

“One of them is to protect an asset and not let them diminish.

“If Dembele is not happy he could leave in the summer, but Barcelona won’t get anywhere near what they paid for him.

“It’s sill a company that can’t afford to do that and panic buy.

“Yes Valverde has to pick the best players, but there are other aspects that need to be taken care of – he can’t leave him to rot on the bench.”
