Meghan Markle’s parents are flying into the UK for this special event ahead of her wedding

Meghan Markle is soon to be baptised, a religious ceremony required by the Royal Family before the Suits actress can marry Prince Harry.

The 36-year-old’s parents, her mother Doria Radlan and her father Thomas Markle Sr, will likely travel to the UK for the event.

The Sunday Times made the claims this weekend.

Doria will be flying from Los Angeles, where she brought Meghan up, while her father will fly from Mexico, where he lives now.

The baptism will be carried out by Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, according to the reports.

It will take place privately in Kensington Palace and it is not known which royals will attend.

What religion is Meghan Markle

There has been various speculation as to what religion the Hollywood actress ascribes to.

However, religion is very important to the Royal Family, as the Queen is the head of the Church of England.

Meghan Markle has never publicly addressed her faith, presuming she has one.

Her father Thomas Markle Senior, is a member of the Episcopal Church of the United States and part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Her mother Doria Ragland is reportedly a member of the Protestant faith, according to the Daily Mail.

Meghan attended a Roman Catholic school and was previously married to Trevor Engelseon, a Jewish film producer.

Meghan is not the only woman who has had to carry out this formality.

Kate Middleton was also required to be confirmed before she married Prince William, who will one day become Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

Meghan Markle and the Queen are set for their first official engagement together this month.

Her fiance Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also be in attendance.
