Lionel Messi: Barcelona star Jordi Alba MOCKS Atletico Madrid over wild claims

Barcelona beat their main title-rivals 1-0 thanks to a superb Lionel Messi free-kick to move eight points clear at the top of the table.

After the match Simeone claimed that his side would have earned the three points if Messi would have been in his squad.

However, Alba has since replied and told the Atletico manager that it is “bad luck” that his side came out second best.

The full-back then went on to hail the match winner who has helped Barcelona take one huge step to securing the La Liga championship.

“Bad luck for them,” Alba said.

“Leo is at Barca. It is the best world.

“He is the one who makes us win games.

“You have to value the work of the team but having Messi gives you a great advantage.”

Meanwhile, Alba moved to defend team-mate Andre Gomes who received whistles from his own supporters who are not happy with his recent performances.

“We have to support Andre,” Alba said.

“The boy always leaves the soul.

“Everyone is free to give their opinion but much better if we all support it and also the fans.”
