The locations of five out of six of the Infinity Stones are known, but 18 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in and we still haven’t seen the Soul gem.
Fans were hoping it might pop up in Thor Ragnarok or Black Panther but to no avail.
Now an alleged piece of Avengers Infinity War promo art has arrived on Reddit, with each of the six stones linked to a specific character.
However the big shock is the Soul Stone being linked to Iron Man.
While the argument can be made Iron Man just appears because he’s the main face of the MCU, the other characters are linked to the Infinity Stones that they had or currently do possess.
The Power Stone was held by Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Reality Stone was seen in Thor: The Dark World.
Meanwhile Doctor Strange currently holds the Time Stone and Vision has the Mind Stone in his forehead.
The only exception is Captain America, but the Space Stone did debut in his first solo movie.

With all this in mind, presumably Iron Man will wield the Soul Stone in Avengers Infinity War.
Leaked set photos have shown him with the arc reactor back in his chest – which he removed in Iron Man 3 – so perhaps it’s stored there somehow?
Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018.
