Arsenal news: Sky Sports pundit makes Antonio Conte claim about Arsene Wenger

That is according to Brighton midfielder and pundit Steve Sidwell.

Wenger has had a chastening week in charge of and saw his side lose 3-0 at home to Manchester City on Thursday.

His players were booed off the pitch by a sparse crowd at the Emirates.

Across London, Conte, who lifted the Premier League in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, has conveyed a man ridden with angst.

While the Blues are better off than Arsenal insofar as the race for the Champions League spots go, they are 22 points behind Manchester City going into Sunday’s showdown (4pm).

And Sidwell thinks Wenger looks just as unhappy as Conte.

“The players have to take huge responsibility for their performances,” Sidwell told Sky Sports’ The Debate.

“It’s similar to the body language of Antonio [Conte] at Chelsea.

“It’s not as bad as that, but it’s going down that road where it’s a lonely road.

“You can see the goals going in – you can see his head drop and it’s like who is motivating him.”
