Arsenal fans BOO and abuse players after humiliating defeat to Man City – video

Manchester City tore Arsenal apart for the second time in four days last night, beating them 3-0 to take them 16 points clear in the Premier League title race.

Bernardo Silva fired City in front after 15 minutes before David Silva doubled their lead shortly before the half-an-hour mark.

Leroy Sane added a third for Pep Guardiola’s side just three minutes after Silva’s strike.

The shocking defeat came just a matter of days after Pep Guardiola’s side thrashed the Gunners 4-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

Arsenal remain sixth in the table, 10 points outside the top four.

And furious Gunners supporters took their frustrations out on players at the final whistle.

Arsene Wenger’s men were booed off the pitch as they made their way back into the dressing room after the embarrassing defeat.

“[City] took advantage of our lack of confidence,” Wenger said. “We’re going through a difficult period, they’re going through a period where all goes well for them.

“When your confidence is not at the best, the first thing that goes is your fluidity in the movement, the spontaneous side of the game.

“You could see that tonight. I don’t deny their quality because they have top quality, but we’re going through a difficult patch at the moment. That’s part of football as well unfortunately.”
