Shape of Water: HOW do they have sex? Where does he keep it tucked? EXPLAINED

Shape of Water is getting as much attention for the hearbreaking love story as it is for the surprisingly explicit nudity and sexual content.

Sally Hawkins’ mute character Elisa is shown masturbating in the bath and both she and the creature go full frontal.

Shockingly, it is the female this time who has more to show. Her amphibious lover has a totally smooth front.

Does he have genitals and how do they work? You won’t believe the video we have showing what happens in a similar real-life creature.

The movie itself gives some explanation for how the unusual pair make love.

Elisa can’t speak but she demonstrates it to her friend Zelda, played by a wide-eyed Octavia Spencer. Elisa cups her hands together and then opens them and mimes something large popping out.

Something similar happens in many amphibious creatures.

Alligators even have permanent erections tucked inside their scaly hides, which spectacularly shoot out as if they are spring-loaded.

Many amphibians and reptiles keep the male genitalia tucked inside until reproductive moments, but no others have quite the same dramatic reveal.

Thankfully The Shape of Water still maintains a little mystery regarding the star-crossed pair’s intimate moments.

However it all works, Elisa’s smug and satisfied expressions are testimony to how well it does work…
