PUBG Xbox One update 9: MAJOR Battlegrounds patch release news REVEALED

PUBG fans have finally been given some good news about the next Xbox One update.

According to Microsoft, PUBG Xbox One update 9 has entered testing, which means it’s one step closer to release.

Microsoft said that it feels good about the Battlegrounds patch, and will announce release times at the end of the week.

“Just wanted to let you all know that Patch 9 is now formally in test,” Microsoft revealed.

“We are feeling pretty good about the quality of the patch and the incoming improvements to the player experience.

“We are very motivated to get this into hands as soon as possible, however we also want to ensure that no glaring issues made their way into code.

“Thanks for being patient with us, and you’ll hear back from me by the end of the week on release timing.”

Battlegrounds community manager Sammie Kang recently revealed more about the upcoming update.

According to a recent post by Kang, the new update will focus on optimisation, stability and quality of life improvements.

This means fans will almost certainly have to wait longer for the Miramar desert map to be released.

Kang said: “Our number one priority is optimisation and improving stability of PUBG on Xbox Game Preview. So you will see some meaningful improvements along with some quality of life fixes in the next patch.

“We understand that it can be frustrating to not get a patch or an update for over two weeks when we used to do weekly patches. But we want to make sure that we release a stable patch and make sure it improves your PUBG experience.”

The PUBG development team will address some important issues soon, while the FAQ and known issues list will be updated this week.

Bluehole will reveal its plans for early 2018 in March, although an exact date for the developer roadmap is yet to be revealed.

The developer is said to be working on a new map, which is expected to launch this summer.

Likewise, the company is also working on making the battle royale experience more realistic.
