LeBron James: Cavs star gives seal of approval to Philadelphia recruitment scheme

The three-time NBA champion enters free agency this summer and every team in the league will undoubtedly hoping he chooses to team up with them.

Cleveland made their move at the trade deadline by completely revamping their roster in an attempt to keep James at the Quickens Loan Arena.

But strong rumours have suggested the Los Angles Lakers remain favourites to take the 33-year-old.

However, as the end of the season nears, other teams are expected to make a play to take James.

And a Philadelphia-based company came up with an ingenious plan at the weekend to get the topic of James potentially joining the 76ers going.

They put up three billboards with the final one trying to start a movement with the hashtag “PHILLYWANTSLEBRON”.

The plan somewhat worked as James has now heard about the billboards and called it “dope” that fans from other teams are still desperate to see him join their organisation.

James said: “It is. Absolutely. You could say it’s a distraction. It’s not.

“It’s not a distraction. It’s actually very flattering.

“I’m sitting here at 33, in my 15th year and teams and people in their respective city want me to play for them.

“I mean, that’s cool. I think that’s dope.”
